Buyer looks like possible scam
Summary: octobrand expressed concern about a buyer who has an item shipped to a facility before forwarding to Nigeria, noting identical feedback from various sellers. mudshark61369 explained that it's common for feedback to be automated for high-volume buyers and reassured octobrand about protection once the item is delivered to the forwarder. comics-scifi-collectibles advised using UPS for delivery to ensure a signature is obtained, which is necessary for transactions over $750 to avoid losing a case against 'item not received' claims.
I have someone that purchased an $1,500 item but I noticed the item was going to a shipping facility and then would be shipped to Nigeria. I went to this persons page and they have 353 purchases. But the strange part is all of the responses from the different sellers he purchased from look the same. As in the feed back on his page will all say 'Excellent buyer A++++++" and other very similar comments that are all coming from different people.
I cannot find any way to contact an agent direct to help look into this before I ship the item. Every time I try I only get the chat bot that will not give me an agent.
Thank you

Mentor1 month ago · Edited@octobrand I do strongly recommend using UPS to deliver the item because USPS does not get signatures on delivery at freight forwarding locations.
A signature on delivery is required by eBay since the sale is over $750.00. Without a signature on delivery you WILL lose an item not received case even though the item was delivered.

Many foreign buyers have items shipped to U.S. Freight forwarders for onward shipping to their countries. Once an item gets its Delivered scan at the Forwarders, you are protected from an item not received dispute, and the 30 day time frame for filing disputes starts on that date. Your funds will still be held for 30 days because of the item's cost though.
If your buyer usually buys from high volume sellers it's not unusual for them to received "canned" auto feedback such as the ones you've seen on the buyer's profile. Seller's can't leave anything but positive feedback with positive comments for buyers, so many just use quick replies over and over.

OP1 month agoI appreciate your insight on this matter, I did not know that there would be so many similar auto responses from the sellers.

Some buyer's also leave very abbreviated feedback such as A+ seller, As described and shipped quickly, Would buy from again... Some do not leave feedback at all but the seller receives an auto feedback from ebay "Order delivered on time with no issues".
