Buyer locked out of eBay account
Buyer is locked out of his account so can't let eBay know he received the item., meaning I cannot be paid. eBay won't release funds. Buyer has said in messages that he received item and it is ok to release funds but eBay hasn't done it and I can't get a hold of anyone at eBay to discuss. Advice??

The tracking number is what shows that item was delivered. If there was no tracking then the funds will be held for about 30 days. You are an infrequent seller so you are subject to fund holds.
As a fellow seller I understand that waiting for your payout is frustrating.
Fund holds are normal for new and returning sellers.
New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while learning best selling practices. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. New sellers typically experience holds for up to 30 days, although sometimes it may be longer

OP1 year agoThere is no tracking number. Turns out the buyer lived down the street from me so I just delivered it to him myself. There has to be a solution for this.

Mentor1 year agoThere is no solution for delivering an item in person instead of shipping the item when the listing required shipping. Local pick up items send a QR and Numeric code to the buyer to give to the seller to enter into the eBay app to prove delivery. Items shipped use tracking to prove delivery. Without proof of delivery eBay will hold the funds for 30 days.

In the future these are the correct steps for handling a change to Local Pick Up
Let the buyer know that in order to not have a ding for no tracking and have proof of delivery for eBay that these are the steps you have to take.
1. Cancel the sale as problem with buyers address
2. Refund the buyer.
3. Relist with Local Pick Up only and they buy again
4. When the buyer comes to pick up the item you enter the code in the eBay app>
For proof of pickup you can:
use the eBay app to scan the QR code the buyer received through email
use the eBay app to manually enter the 6-digit code the buyer received through email
To scan the QR code:
Go to Selling on the eBay App.
Go to the Sold tab.
Select the Arrange Pickup banner.
Tap the Scan to confirm pickup button.
If the buyer doesn't have the QR code available, ask them for the 6-digit code they received through email and manually enter it in the app.
