Buyer left negative review
Hello community members
I sold an item to one of buyer nothing wrong with an item. We are new on eBay and we are learning everyday. We sold an item and there was an issue with shipping label. We didn't realized that was our mistake until buyer left and negative review. I message buyer with full of respect and explained that it was our team mistake and we apologies and offer you free item that he likes.
Question, how do I get this resolved? If he don't listen or understands can I leave a negative review that way he understands that negative review hurt to any seller? by the way he is also a seller. I do not want to do same thing what he did putting negative review but if that helps him to understand that it was just a mistake and helps us to resolve this issue just a though

Mentor3 years agoThis is a major issue that happens with a lot of new sellers. They assume they know something that they don't, then they get in trouble and don't understand why Ebay or a buyer won't forgive them. I realize you didn't make the mistake on purpose, but you also didn't do your homework and find out what the different shipping methods were for.
This happens on many subjects. Selling on Ebay isn't as easy as jumping into the water and hoping for the best. It is too easy to seriously damage the health of your Selling account and get yourself sanctioned or worse, lose your privilege of selling on this site. I know that may sound harsh, but Ebay does have rules for just about everything.

Mentor3 years agoSo true. They are trying to disguise the items as being for tobacco products. Ebay isn't stupid.

Mentor3 years agoThat negative won't be removed. The USPS will not put up with abuse of media mail postage. It is for books and media items only. Did you reimburse the buyer?
No, you cannot leave him a negative in retaliation. Sellers can only leave positive feedback for buyers.
