Buyer left feedback saying she received a different chain than the one I sent
New seller, about 2 months. In that time I've received 17 positive feedbacks. 0 negative. A lady bought a tiny 14k baby wheat chain from me. I advertised it as a baby wheat, posted 5 pictures, and put it up for auction with a buy it now price of $69. Somehow she and another person were bidding against each other and she bid $80! It did not even register with me that she paid more than my buy it now price until I reviewed the sale after her complaint. Fast forward to yesterday when I received a message saying she wasn't satisfied, the chain was too thin, and it was a completely different chain than the one I advertised. I asked for clarity - were you just not happy or you are saying it's not the same chain? Her reply was that is was a completely different chain. Since I took the pic and packed it and personally drove it and dropped it off at the post office, I took offense and told her I would not refund unless she apologized. I asked why she paid more than my buy it now price, and inquired if she even looked closely at the pics or read the title '14k BABY WHEAT' her reply was "how i could call it a baby when it's so thin a baby would rip it off and choke on it and die" Her Words. I replied I did not make up the name, that is the name of that type of chain. She said "thank you for admitting I overpriced it"! To be clear it was up for auction and when I told her that if she bid 20 and won would she complain? It wasn't my fault she overpaid. Another fact for you to consider - when I put something up for auction it's usually because I am not sure how to price it and my 'buy it now' price is way more than I would imagine someone would pay. I once put a brooch up for auction, a costume jewelry piece with missing stones and faded enamel, and I got an offer for $900! I accepted of course since I thought maybe I would get 200. But I did not have a buy it now price and was penalized for ending the auction early. Hence my elevated buy it now price. So finally getting to my question - her feedback says I switched out the chain and basically was a crook and for no one to buy anything from me. I contacted eBay and they said it did not violate their policies and eBay allows for both buyer and seller to leave a review. I could deal with her saying I was rude or hostile but not that I committed a crime. I am considering legal action. eBay says that if that did a review now I would be above average so essentially don't worry about it! If I was buying online and I read that I would not buy from me. Please help. Thanks

That's way too much back & forth between you & the buyer.
All you needed to do is just send ONE message to the buyer telling them that you were sorry they were unhappy with the item and that they could file a Return Request, you would provide a prepaid return shipping label and refund when you received the returned item. And you could have left it at that. The other minutiae you posted is immaterial.
"told her I would not refund unless she apologized". This is not grade school and probably further angered the buyer.
