Buyer left false feedback as retaliation
I had a buyer in September message me about a Texas rangers youth cap I was selling for just over $5 plus shipping, that I did not have the best offer option turned on for. He messaged me, wanting a lower price on the hat and shipping, I politely responded that sorry I was not accepting offers as the price I had was as low as I could go, he then bought the hat at my asking price, afterwards he then proceeded to send me a long message basically telling me that it was wrong the way I was running my business that I should have negotiated with him in as rude enough way he could without violating eBay abuse policies. I told him I was cancelling his order since he was already upset and I was not risking my 100% feedback over a $5 hat, I have had since 2003, and canceled it and blocked him. He must have had a second account I originally thought was a friends of his. This 2nd buyer bought the same hat the next day and afterwards asked for me to ship it to a different address he forgot to change it before buying, I told him I would have to cancel for and address issue and he would have to re-buy after correcting it on his account, at the same time I cross checked and found it was the address to the first buyer. I didn’t want risk a 3rd cancellation in a day on the same item and have eBay ding my account, so I took the risk that the friend account would not want the drama of leaving me a negative feedback for the first guy and shipped it. I later found out it was the same person with 2 accounts. Fast forward to today almost 2 months later he left a negative feedback just stating “horrible communicationâ€, all my communication back to him was polite and not abusive and everything was responded to promptly, I went through the feedback revision request and he denied it and responded in feedback with a more lengthy message in all caps about not negotiating with him, when he as a buyer is allowed to do and should be reciprocated and then me not following thru with the purchase and canceling it on his original account. I reported him to eBay as abuse of the feedback and asked for it to be removed but have yet to get an eBay response, I’ve also tried the “contact us†route but only keep getting the AI bot even though it says I can also get a live rep, and it just keeps going in circles. Is this something eBay would remove for me after seeing my communication was not at all horrible and it was an unfair statement and negative, and if so how do I get a real person to handle it.
thank you
