Buyer keeps stalling and making excuses for not picking up a local only item
I have a buyer who purchased several large local pickup items as a lot purchase back in March 1. These are large and bulky and I have to store them and delay other projects, so I told the buyer I do not mind holding for 2 or 3 weeks but I wanted them gone in a reasonable timeframe.
I was very clear in my communications and posting that I do not crate and ship but happy to help load and be flexible with pickup logistics. I suggested services like Uship and Citizenshipper that I have had success with before.
It is now May 17 and my buyer has been responsive for most part and keeps promising to arrange pickup, but so far just excuses and how he has so much going on and big projects and budgets etc etc.
I am feeling taken advantage of at this point, and 3 weeks ago I told him that I had to go out on vacation and needed it done or I would be forced to pursue forfeiture/abandonment with ebay.
My money is tied up because I don't feel like I should spend it with items not picked up, and my space is taken up and he behaves like this is all about him. I am back from vacation now and I gave him deadline of tomorrow May 18 before I go to ebay with it.
Any similar experiences out there? Did ebay support and help with this? Buyer has been civil and apologetic for not picking up but my patience is done.

When it comes to Local Pickup sales, I allow the Buyer ten days, or two weekends, to pick up.
If you have already let this Buyer know that your deadline is Monday, May 18, then you can refund them and relist. You can use the reason "problem with Buyer's address".
By refunding them, you should get most of your selling fees back.
