buyer issue
I had a buyer send me a message today saying a part was missing from a factory sealed item and they "need help". They recieved the item ten days ago but just now reached out. I replied quickly that I was sorry and how can I help. I am waiting to hear back from them but in the mean time I went thru their feedback and this buyer has complained about purchases 16 times in the past year alone and another 17 times before that. Always leaving negative feedback, insulting the seller even after recieving a partial or full refund and getting to keep the item. I have no problem giving a refund if my item is returned complete even though I do not offer returns on my listings, but I feel like this buyer has quite a history of doing this just to get money back and keep the item. How can one buyer have that many issues buying on ebay but still keeps buying and getting refunds? I am a new seller and do not want the **bleep** negative feedback that I feel this buyer will leave no matter what I do, especially since I already left them positive feedback. I have not reached out to ebay yet cause I am waiting to hear the buyers response but also want to be proactive in protecting myself from this happening if possible. Any guidiance or knowledge on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

·1 year agoNormally I would say that you don’t know that a factory sealed item is not missing parts, and therefore should just accept the return and refund when you get it can.
That buyer’s history does sound like feedback abuse, however, and they likely should be reported under the Abusive Buyer Policy. That policy and a link to report the buyer are here: https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/rules-policies-buyers/abusive-buyer-policy?id=4374
