Buyer is traying to scam me

I am currently selling some photo equipment. A buyer contacted me and asked to check my spam folder for the payment. However, Gmail has flagged the address as suspicious and there is no deposit in my eBay account. I strongly suspect that this person has created a fake profile. Unfortunately, there are no options in eBay to cancel the transaction due to a potential scam attempt.

Cancel the transaction after 4 days of non-payment have passed, specify "buyer didn't pay".

In Seller Hub, go to Orders.
Find the order you want to cancel, and from More actions, select Cancel order.
Select "buyer didn't pay" as the reason for the cancellation and then select Submit to finish.
