Buyer is no longer a registered user

I had a listing up from a couple years ago that I forgot to take down, because I no longer have the item I was selling. Someone bought it, so I reached out to let them know it needed to be canceled, since I didnt have the item. They agreed and sent a return request, but as that happend I got an email saying that the buyer was no longer registered. Ebay already sent me the payout. What am I to do?

You can file a cancellation, and that will send a refund to the buyer's original payment source.
