Buyer is lying!
Summary: jamilynn1982 shared an experience about a dishonest buyer who claimed they received the wrong coin despite receiving the correct item. The buyer is demanding a refund and making threats, causing concern for jamilynn1982. They have reported the issue to eBay, but face confusion as eBay continues to send emails about the dispute and has held funds for another sale. jamilynn1982 is seeking advice on handling such situations.
I sold a coin to someone. It was packaged nicely and they received it, but then contacted me saying it wasn't the coin I advertised. I only had that one coin, so he absolutely received the same coin I advertised. I messaged him back disputing his claim of false advertisement and receiving a different coin, but he messaged me back demanding a full refund, calling me names, and threatening to have my account closed. I don't know what to do. He got the coin and is lying. I've contacted eBay and they said they resolved the issue, but they keep sending me emails to resolve the issue and are holding funds for another item I sold because of this. I know what I sold him and don't want to refund him so that he can keep the coin and money based on a lie. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you resolve it?

eBay expects sellers to resolve buyers' complaints without involving them. I am sorry you got a bad buyer. Here are the steps you should take to protect your eBay account.
1) Accept the return and issue the label
2) When the item is returned, inspect it
3) Block the Buyer https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/BuyerBlock
4) Report the buyer for misusing the Money Back Guarantee here if appropriate: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/resolving-buyer-issues/reporting-issue-buyer?id=4084
5) Issue a refund
6) Appeal the case to eBay

Note: don't refund until the item is in your possession.
