Buyer Inspection
I am new to Ebay and have listed 19 church pews for sale. I have a buyer that is interested in all of them but has asked to have someone inspect them before buying them for $950.00. The problem is that the pews are listed for pick up only and the Buyer is in Pennsylvania and I am in Ohio. Each time I try to communicate the pews location so the Buyer can arrange for someone to inspect them, Ebay stops the communication because it contains contact information. However, in Ebay's Selling practices policy they say it is important to specify the location of the item I am listing. I am not trying to sell pews outside of Ebay. Very frustrating. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

I know this may sound confusing to you as a new seller, but there is a problem with the way you listed the item. If you list 19 pews in the title, and show a photo of multiple pews, that means the buyer gets all 19 for $75 (despite the explanation in the description).
Either list one pew at $75 with 19 available and show only one pew in the photo, or list as a set of 19 pews for $950 with a quantity of one available.
First revise the listing, then communicate with the buyer that you have revised the listing and to please review it. Restate that this is a pickup only listing and that eBay does not allow members to exchange contact info before the purchase. If you set up the listing with no immediate payment required, the buyer can purchase the pews, come and inspect them, and if he doesn't want them, you can cancel the order.

Good catch on the multiquantity issue. Thanks!

I wrote that reply over an hour ago, then went out to run an errand. I just got back and saw I hadn't submitted it. 🙄 I think I was really focused on what I was going to have for dinner! 😊

Your listing says the pews are in Springfield Ohio.
Are you trying to provide a more specific location?
In theory, the buyer should pay now, come inspect them and then get a refund if he/she doesn't like them.
Once they are bought, you can exchange full contact information through eBay.
They buyer can get a full refund if they are dissatisfied with them.
What eBay is trying to avoid is the guy comes to the location with cash, and then you cancel the listing thus cutting out eBay.
Two things
1) you are a newish seller and sometimes 'buyers' are persistent for contact information to use for nefarious purposes. If the buyer seems suspect at all, proceed with caution.
2) If the pews are still in the church building, perhaps you can put the church name in the description? You can't use the full street address there, but maybe you can say
Pews from Springfield 1st Methodist Church or similar.
