Buyer informs me of Fraud on her account and wants money returned ASAP
I got a message from buyer who made a purchase yesterday and today she messaged me that she didn't purchase the item and fraud is involved on her side. She wants her money returned ASAP - as she stated. Probably just changed her mind. Meanwhile - fees have been deducted from my account. I was just getting ready to print the Mailing Lable. Should I go ahead with the shipment and wait for a legitimate return request or return her money minus the fees I have been charged

Mentor2 years agoIf there was fraud, the shipping address may be the scammer's, not the buyer's, so you should not ship. If the buyer is claiming fraud, the buyer can claw the money back via a credit card charge-back, which you should want to avoid since that would cost you an extra $20 on top of losing the money.
If you cancel "at buyer's request" you should get your fees back.

OP2 years agoThanks so much for your info and I did cancel the order and was refunded my fees. I was apprehensive to the fact that the buyer claimed Fraud - I think they just changed their mind.
