Buyer hasn't released a hold on payment to us after receiving the item.
The buyer didn't wait for the item to arrive ( it was shipped Feb 6 and he put the hold on payment on Feb. 10). The item arrived Feb. 11. (He messaged us that he got it.) We have messaged him three times asking him to release the hold and so far he hasn't. It has been 2 day since he received the item. Any ideas ?

OP6 months agoE-Bay did put the hold on the payment for the books because the buyer put in a complaint that they hadn't arrived. He was expecting quick travel for them I guess. Doesn't he have to let E-Bay know they arrived? There was some quirk with the post office. The post office info has it arriving the day it was sent, on Feb. 6. Not sure what happened there ??

That type of misscan does happen on occasion. The tracking usually straightens out after the package starts moving again.
If you used an eBay shipping label and shipped within your stated handling time then I would refund the buyer.
When it is delivered eBay will refund you out of their pocket. This is the new seller protections that started in October.
eBay always places a hold on funds when a case is filed.
If the tracking doesn't show delivery to the buyer after a couple of weeks then you file a postal insurance claim, if you used media mail insurance is not included unless you pay for it.

OP6 months agoWe don't want to refund him, because he has the books. They were delivered on Feb. 11 - he messaged us saying they arrived. E-Bay has his money.
Is there a way I to get to message an E-Bay representative? The IA version just took me in a circle.
