buyer sent a text through ebay that i "will never get my money"i reported it but have heard absolutely nothing from ebay.

While certainly a bit alarming the way they worded it, you will be fine. 96 hours after the time they purchased the item, file for a Cancellation with the reason that Buyer Didn't pay. Then you are free to list it again. The buyer will get an unpaid strike on their account.

What this buyer will likely find out quickly, is if they have done this to at least one other seller in the past 12 months it is highly likely they will be BLOCKED from purchasing from many sellers. We are able to set our buyer requirements to block buyers with 2 strikes within the last 12 months. That is the strictest we can set it to. So this buyer is likely in for a surprise they don't expect very soon.

And if you don't have this setting filled out on your selling account. Just go to your Site preferences and then your Buyer requirements and fill out the fields available.

@willsellsmith You will not hear back from eBay about any actions they take on another members account.

When a buyer doesn't pay you can cancel the sale after 4 FULL DAYS so on the 5th day cancel as buyer hasn't paid. This gives the non-paying buyer a strike on their account and they also will not be able to leave feedback. Then you relist.

While you're in account settings I also recommend blocking buyers in locations you do not ship to.
