Buyer has paid wants shipped to different address
He said his address is incorrect. He has won and immediately paid for several items. He is also out of the country and wants me to wait until May 1 to ship. Which is fine. He messaged me an updated address. Is that proof enough?
eBay support is absolute dog you know what. Like worst of any business of all time bad.

Mentor4 months agoYou cannot wait to ship as Ebay will ding you for late shipping.
You are required to ship to the address provided through Ebay, it cannot be changed.
Tell the seller that due to Ebay requirements, you will need to cancel the transaction (due to problem with buyer's address). Tell the buyer that you will relist the item, and if they are interested they can repurchase the item using the correct shipping address and that the shipping time cannot be altered.

OP4 months agoOkay thanks! I tried to get him to change it, idk why he didn’t. I created one label, then he told me it was wrong. So there is tracking on all the items so I’m not getting dinged for late shipping. What sucks is he pays right away.

You can cancel the label and receive a refund.
You can void/ cancel the label within 28 days of purchasing it from the actions drop down menu next to the label on this page>

I will also add...
...you should contact the buyer to say you'll hold the items until 5/1 and relist so he can repurchase with the correct ship-to address when he is ready to take delivery. When you relist, send the buyer the new item #s.
Another thing to note is that purchasing a label isn't proof of shipping ontime. The packages need to be scanned by the carrier within your stated handling time.

OP4 months agoWell that is not good! My handling time is 1 day but I get all my stuff out same day as I live a mile from the PO. I’m canceling now. I want to be helpful but now I feel I’m being taken advantage of. Thank you both very much!!

We respond to multiple posts here daily with the same question. Buyers for some reason don't look at the displayed shipping address on the checkout page. I have suggested to eBay repeatedly over the years that they should require the buyer to select a ship-to address before they can pay, but to no avail.

Mentor4 months agoThe address cannot be changed after the buyer has purchased and paid for the item. It was the responsibility of the buyer to keep their shipping address up to date and they were showed the shipping address before they paid for the item so they could have changed it before they paid.
