Buyer has paid but requested delayed shipping
I have a buyer who just paid for an item , but due to the hurricane. He has requested that I hold off shipping because of his situation. I always ship within one or two days. How can I make a eBay understand that the item needs a delay on its shipping . Any ideas what I should do It was a fairly large amount

If you don't ship within your stated handling time, you'll receive a hit to your seller metrics.
What I do it this...
I notify the buyer that because I are required to ship within my handling time, I will cancel the transaction (use the reason "problem with buyer's address"), hold onto the item for them, and relist when they are back and ready to repurchase the item. When you relist, contact the buyer again and provide the new item #.

OP1 year agoThere must be a better answer. I’m not going to cancel the item and realistic because the original buyer that has already paid. May be a bit on the item. I’m wondering if I print the label. And hold on to the package. Then mail at the requested time. Would that work.
in the past I have printed out a label, then forgot to mail it. But still got paid by eBay. if that would work

There is not a better answer, but you can ignore the process I gave you and earn a defect on your seller record for shipping outside of your stated handling time.
Not sure why you would not just follow the process, but that's your decision. If the defect won't jeopardize your seller status, you can take the hit.
