Buyer has buyer remorse and refuses registered mail delivery. Stated item was not delivered
Hello, tracking shows item was out for delivery April 9th and notice left. April 11th it was refused. He emailed me after $1900.00 coin was sent stating don't send. He's lying to get out of sale causing me to lose money and time sending valuable coin just to be refused. I haven't gotten coin back yet, but when it gets here can I charge 10% for costs and trouble sending coin he bought?

No, restocking charges are not allowed.
If he has opened a not received claim, you can try asking customer service to close it in your favor - refusing delivery voids his money back guarantee protection. You would then be able to issue a refund for the item only, and not the shipping.

OP2 years agoEBAY customer service just spoke with me and said that buyer lost money back guarantee protection for not accepting item / refusing it, and that I don't have to do anything if I don't want to. Unless he opens a case. Does that make any sense?

Yes. But - your buyer can file a dispute with his credit card issuer, so when received, I would refund the item price but not the shipping. Personally I would not file a dispute over the shipping charge, but certainly would for a larger deduction.
