Buyer got a refund but won't return my item
So the buyer wanted to return the item he bought. He got his refund and won't return item until I provide 'return shipping' cost.
How do I provide a paid shipping label to him when the item needs to be weighted and measured to get the cost?
In 15 years of using eBay I've never had to do anything like this.
Can someone explain how I do this. Please

If a Buyer opened a refund request on eBay, the Seller has three business days to respond. If they do not, eBay can step in and force the refund. If that happens, the Buyer is not required to return the item.
If the Buyer is willing to return it, you would need to send them a discounted return label. That can be done on PayPal or Pirateship.

Mentor1 week agoIf the buyer has already been refunded, you cannot create a return shipping label through Ebay.
The buyer is not required to return the item after they have been issued a refund.

Mentor1 week agoThere is nothing Ebay can do for you since the buyer was already refunded.
Normally, sellers do not issue refunds until after they have received the returned item.

OP1 week agoThis is the first time I've had to deal with this, so I appreciate your time and help.
I contacted eBay and explained the buyer wanted a refund. THEY did the refund so I thought they would also handle getting him to return my item BEFORE the money went back to his account. I was wrong and now I don't know what to do.

Mentor1 week agoUnfortunately there is nothing that eBay can help you with. The return process is automated so if the buyer would have opened the appropriate request or case you would have been given the option of sending a return label to the buyer and then been able to refund once the item has been returned to you.
