Buyer got a different package with 2 shipping labels on it?
Summary: A participant reported an issue where a buyer received the wrong package with two shipping labels. The package was supposed to contain a vase and candle holders but instead had a garment bag with underwear. Both the seller and buyer are confused about how this happened and are seeking resolution. Despite attempts to resolve the situation through eBay and USPS, the participant is struggling to reach customer service for assistance. They are seeking suggestions on how to address the situation.
I have been with ebay over 20 years and never had this happen. A buyer wrote me that the package she received did not have what she ordered. I shipped a box with vase and candle holders, clearly stated 4 lbs 10 ounces on the USPS receipt. She said she received garment bag with underwear. The other side of the bag had another shipping label on it. I told her put a request in and I will credit her account and then try to get my funds back too. She did put in a request, but only for one item. I credited her and said she needs to put in for the other item. She said she can't return what she didn't' receive. I said I didn't expect her to return it. I understand she didn't receive it, to put that in as the reason. She then wrote she put in for a USPS claim on the missing mail. That is what I wanted to do, but now she put it in.
I've asked the postal clerk about filing a missing mail claim. He told me since the tracking number says it was delivered; we won't get a refund.
This does not sound right. We both are victims here - seller and buyer.
Plus, I make sure my shipping labels are secure. How did that shipping label get put on a garment bag???
How do we resolve this? I have tried to reach ebay customer service and can't through to a person. Any suggestions??
Thank you for any help.

Was this shipped directly to the buyer? Not through EIS or Authenticity?
Did the buyer file an insurance claim, or only a missing mail request, they are different.
USPS can look at the package photos in transit, they take several photos as the package is in transit, so it's possible you could get refunded.
I would try to get a photo from the buyer of what she DID get.
Did you ship 1 box or 2 boxes?
