Buyer false claim

Question

I 100% know that I shipped out a brand new product. The buyer is claiming that it is used. What protects me as a seller from being returned a different/damaged/used product and being forced to issue a refund?

Ebay has a 30-day Money Back Guarantee. That Guarantee overrides an individual Seller's return policy. Buyers on eBay can request a return for up to 30 days from delivery if they feel the item they received is not as shown in the listing, even if that is not true.

If the Buyer opens an Item Not as Described refund request, you only have three business days to respond with either a prepaid return label or a refund. If you do not, eBay can step in and force the refund from your funds.

Once the item is returned, some Sellers are eligible to deduct up to 50% of the refund if the item is returned in a different condition.

Sellers who do not offer returns are not eligible for that benefit and must refund in full.
