Buyer ebay address incorrect.
Buyer didn't receive their package. Tracking information per UPS shows package as undeliverable due to wrong address. Confirmed with customer that there ebay shipping address is in correct. Ebay has there address as 685 highway ect. Customer sent to me today that their address is 635 Highway ect. Customer would like the item reshipped. Cost is $10.66, who pays for this extra shipping cost? Item sold with free shipping. Of which there is no such thing, shipping cost money.
Thank you

Mentor1 year agoJust for a little more clarity on this subject @tooltime_tommy . A buyer can enter any ship to address they want during the checkout process to pay for a transaction. It does NOT have to be a ship to address that they have already set up in their account info. But @selforfun is absolutely correct. Whatever the address to ship the item to stated by the buyer on the payment is where you need to ALWAYS ship to. Never change that even if a buyer pleads with you to do so.
To do so hurts yourself and you have no responsibility to do that for someone.

If the buyer entered the wrong address on their eBay account at the time of purchase — and you can confirm that by checking the address in the order details — you’re covered under Seller Protection. You can even take a screenshot of the original order and send it to the buyer to show what address was used.
In this case, since the mistake was on their end, it’s fair to ask them to cover the $10.66 reshipping cost once the item is returned to you. Just explain it clearly and politely — most buyers will understand once they see that the original address didn’t match what they later provided.
