Buyer didn't realize local pickup

Question

So frustrated with EBay - please someone help me understand this. I can't even email EBay to find out how to handle. The buyer did not respond to me after I was notified my item was sold. He finally did email me back after I mentioned I would need to reach out to EBay - now he indicates he didn't realize it was local pick up - meanwhile I am missing sales of this item if he now wants to back out - what can I do?

Cancel the transaction as buyer requested, relist the item and move on.

You cannot force the buyer to complete the purchase. If he has not paid, you're done with the transaction.

If he has paid, you will have to fund the refund then eBay will release the buyer's payment to you and reverse the fees. If you don't refund, the buyer can file a claim, and then your fees will not be reversed.

You should always put 'local pick up' in your titles so that buyers see it right away. You should edit your other active items to add this.
