Buyer damages item. Leaves false, damaging comments in feedback. Ebay refuses to help.
I sold a collectable ornament to a buyer who damaged the box and claimed I intentionally hid the damage. There was no damage. He claims I manipulated the label to cover the damage however the label is placed on by Hallmark. Said I was caught in my lies and eBay agreed with him. Ebay will not remove the feedback even though I've provided additional facts to support the truth. I've been on eBay since 2004 with 100% feedback. When I say the stuff he said was bad, it was really damaging to my character and ability to sell on eBay. eBay does not support their sellers even if you provide facts. They gave him his money back and he kept the ornament that could be resold. I couldn't reply to his comments because he blocked me. I don't feel there's anyone at eBay that will help. They said I'm not in trouble with eBay so everything is ok but I've explained it does impact my ability to sell.
There are alot more facts but this is the central issue. I don't know what to do other than leave Ebay. I'm not a top rated seller so they really don't care.
Can anyone advise me? Is there an Ebay in the US I can call.
Thanks

Mentor9 months agoIf the buyer filed a Return Request you could have replied with an approval of the returned item or just refunded. Did you do either? That would have kept Ebay from getting involved.
Whenever a buyer files a Return Request with a valid reason per the Money Back Guarantee and the seller does not cooperate, Ebay always finds in favor of the buyer. Ebay has no way of discerning the truthfulness of either party involved.
1 negative feedback should not impact your ability to sell nor cause you to leave Ebay.
