Buyer created case outside of eBay and sent the wrong item.
I don’t know what to do. A buyer created a case outside of eBay with PayPal . Saying my item didn’t match the description. It was AirPods Max. I stated that it had a limited warranty and they assumed it was AppleCare plus. Not the same thing, but that was the gist of their claim. PayPal asked them to send the headphones back and they sent back fat burner pills. I documented the whole thing. But eBay didn’t really care. This was all before the case was settled . The case settled on the 29th. I received the fake return package around the 24th. eBay didn’t offer me a way to update the case and show that the buyer did not return anything. The buyer admitted in messages that they never sent back the headphones and tried to bribe me for $50 to close the case. All of this is against the rules. I have made every complaint to eBay and received nothing. So not only did the buyer keep the headphones, get their money back, eBay charged me a $20 chargeback fee on top of me being screwed by every party involved. I just need help if anyone knows how to. Also, want to make other sellers aware if a buyer creates a case outside of eBay. Usually seller protection steps in, but I don’t know why I don’t have any protections in this matter.

Once the buyer went to Paypal for the dispute, Ebay cannot help. Have you contacted Paypal since the dispute went through them?
Sorry this happened to you.
