Buyer claims item arrived broken
Item: A small bronze statue
Buyer claims the statue arrived broken. No photo of this damage was offered. They sent 2 emails (only stating it arrived broken) of which I have not responded as I wasn't sure how to handle this situation. I find it very very unlikely the bronze statue arrived broken as: it was very well wrapped and packed for shipping, bronze metal is very durable and would most likely bend from too much pressure verses actually breaking.
Should I respond to the buyer, asking for photos of the statues condition along with the shipping materials or reach out to ebay first?

Mentor2 years agoLeave ebay out of it. Ask for photos and/or wait for buyer to open a return request, which will ask for photos. Do not refund until the item is returned if you end up wanting it back.
