Buyer claiming item does not match photos of item.
I am concerned that ebay is automatically allowing a buyer of mine to request a full refund, shipping included, on an item that the buyer claims says does not match the photos or description of the item. It clearly does match. The buyer only filed this after requesting I refund over half of the cost of the item. What can a seller do when a buyer is trying to take back money through ebay refunds?

Mentor1 year agoThere is little that you can do since eBay never sees the items you list they rely on the buyer to make the determination if the item is as described or not. If you do not agree to the return and refund eBay will force a refund without requiring the item be returned. You would also receive a defect on your account which as a newer seller would not be good.
Once the item is returned and you make the refund if the item is exactly what you described you can report the buyer for misusing the Money Back Guaranty.
