buyer changes
so I just read they are making buyer pay for what they win in auctions, Kudos. However if an auction is in fact a contract to purchase and sell? why no make it so seller CAN NOT cancel auctions once they start as well ? all the seller that list items at low starting price with no reserve and then cancelling auctions when it does not reach the selling point they wanted they just go ahead and cancel auction and say no longer available. This a big problem that makes buyers think it is ok just bid and cancel and think there is no commitment if sellers are allowed to not follow the commitment if they list it they are in a contract as well. well any way is a partial reason latley I use amazon rather ebay as a first choice and only buy items on ebay I can not get any where else. seems both parties to be held to the commitments

Mentor4 months agoI agree with you. What you don't know is that sellers receive a defect on their account for cancelling paid orders, but this doesn't really address sellers cancelling auctions where the buyer hasn't paid yet. I have heard no changes coming down the pike for that, but it is worth bringing up.
