Buyer changed their mind, wants a refund after the package has shipped
Buyer bought an item.
The auction stated that I do not accept returns.
I shipped it within 12 hours.
Paid for signature delivery and used the eBay insurance.
A severe snow storm then hit Reno, Nevada, which affects mail from California to here and vice versa.
No tracking details updated until this morning.
At which point the buyer changed his mind and requested a refund because, allegedly, it is daughters birthday tomorrow and the package is slated to arrive on Saturday, three days later than the original deivery day, January 11th.
I said I woud look into a USPS Intercept.
The item sold for $243. The intercept fee is $80.
As much as I wish to help the buyer, he changed his mind without the package even arriving.
I am reluctant to accept the return and issue a refund whilst taking a 33% hit.
Suggestions and advice please.
