Buyer canceled his return because item turned out to be legit

So I'm not sure what to do I have a guy who had purchased something from me and that listing had been taken down for a policy violation after words he recently filed a return because he took this product to be appraised by a department store well the store told him it was fake... Now he just messaged me telling me that he is going to cancel the return and that he is going to keep the item because he had taken it to another department store and they had told him that the item he had bought was infact not a fake but the real deal but he still wants a refund for time wasted running around making sure it was real. What do I do should I refund him some or not? I'm still not sure how to go about this

If he canceled the return, you arenâ€™t required to refund him. He canâ€™t open another return.

@j-johnsons You are not obligated to reimburse the buyer for their time. Has the buyer indeed cancelled the return request? If so, you do nothing.
