Buyer broke the item and claiming it arrived broken
A buyer bought an item, broke it, and now claiming it arrived broken (though it is impossible to break in transit)
What protections do I have as a seller? The policy was no returns available as well.

Mentor1 year agoIf you want the item back before refunding, accept the return. But also send the buyer a note that you are sorry about the damage and you will be contacting the postal inspectors and filing a claim and to please cooperate with the investigation. This often has the buyer not following through with the return and ebay finding in your favor.

·1 year ago@iggyboat101 Sellers have protection for abusing returns if they a) offer Free Return shipping on their listings OR b) if they are a Top Rated seller and offer 30 days or greater returns.
The seller can then reduce the refund amount by up to 50% if the buyer sends a different item or somehow reduces the value of the item.
