Buyer bought & paid for my LOCAL PICKUP ONLY item, now asking me to SHIP IT
Buyer is 800 miles away. Very experienced buyer, apparently trying to violate eBay policy.
Since the Buyer immediately paid by credit card, eBay had already deducted their fees from my proceeds and put the remainder in my eBay funds.
I spoke to eBay customer service; rep told me to Cancel the transaction, selecting "Buyer requested to cancel". Then, although the screen says the Amount You Owe (to refund the buyer) will be paid from my eBay funds AND the remainder from MY credit card, the rep said not to worry, all my fees WILL be refunded and I will be able to relist the item in ~24 hours.
I'm not looking for advice, only wanted to post this because I didn't find this solution in my search prior to contacting eBay Customer Service.

Mentor11 months agoIf the buyer will not make the road trip to pick up the item, you can file a cancellation and select Problem with buyer's account. I would not select that the buyer requested the cancellation unless the buyer actually did request it.
Rather than reimbursing ebay from my checking account, I selected to use a credit card instead.
