Buyer bought non-media item with media mail shipping label
I sold an item that does not qualify as media mail accidentally listing it to ship via USPS Media Mail.
Will eBay refund me the money he spent on that label if it goes unused?
Is there any reason I shouldn't just pay for shipping myself to get it to the buyer ASAP?

Your buyer pays the shipping in your listing to you - he did not buy a label.
As @Anonymous described, buy the correct label. You always pay the actual label cost, so in this case you cover the difference between the actual label and what you asked the buyer to pay.

·2 years agoNo, he won’t be refunded.
His payment will be applied toward whichever shipping method you choose.
You will have to eat the difference yourself, as it is against policy to ask for additional funds for shipping.
