Buyer Attempting at Returning a Different Item then Sold
I sold a completely brand new, unopened item to a buyer. I even shipped it in the same factor box that it was shipped to me. My photo of the item for sale was the actual item that was sold. The buyer has taken photos of a beaten up box, and saying the item has signs of it being used. It's obvious this is a different item, as mine was pristine. I have a perfect seller rating and have never once had an issue with my customers. I always go above and beyond with my customer service and communication, which can be seen easily in my feedback. This is the first time Im dealing with something like this in my 20+ years on ebay. Ebay wants me to either accept the return or offer a refund and let them keep it. I had "Returns Not Accepted" selected. Ebay is not giving me an option that is fair. This is total fraud from this buyer. My money is being help hostage now. I have filled a complaint against the buyer. Not sure what else I can do. If ebay sides with them, I am 100% closing up my ebay shop.

Mentor10 months agoEbay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers overrides your "Returns Not Accepted". Accept the return and you may be able to make a deduction from the refund if the returned item is not in the same condition as shipped.

OP10 months agoSo I get back a possible different and damaged item, and I "may" be able to get a deduction from the refund? Then I end up with a piece of junk instead of my new item and just be happy with it?!?!
Im sorry, but that is a ridiculous approach to this situation.
