Buyer Attemping to send back used/damaged item for refund.
Hi,
Just wanted to for bit of ask advice? I have a small business on EBay. On 26th Oct I sold pair of boots to a buyer in London, they arrived morning of the 30th. 19 days later on 17th November Buyer opened a case stating boots defective and complaining of their condition, supplying photographs.
It’s patently clear from their pictures that the boots are not in the condition that I sent them and have clearly been used and damaged by the buyer. It’s very obvious when you compare their pictures next my originals from the listing side by side.
Am I allowed to report this buyer immediately to EBay for misuse of their returns policy or do I wait for them to be returned? Also, should I point out my findings to the buyer and let them know that I intend to object/report them to EBay?
I really loathe picking a fight with buyers but sometimes it’s just the bloomin principle. Plus they’re expensive boots that I won’t be able to resell in their current condition.
