Buyer asking me to text them

I thought ebay policy was to only communicate through eBay. A buyer is requesting that I text to their personal phone number. Something doesn't feel right. What should I do?

They are violating eBay policy. Do not respond and report their message. There is a report link in the message. If they bought the item but haven't paid, wait the required four full days and cancel for nonpayment.
