Buyer asking for a return for "missing items" on eyeglasses
Hi, I recently sold some designer eyeglasses to someone on eBay and after receiving them and having them for over 2 weeks now they've opened a return request claiming there are "missing items".
The idiotic part about this is that the EYEGLASSES had prescription lenses obviously, as functional eyeglasses do. I mentioned that in the description of the sale, and I would've assumed any functioning human could've deduced that from the fact that they are, indeed, used eyeglasses.
The buyer is claiming that i sent him "fake" lenses(???) and eBay CS just told me my 3 options are essentially:
Accept the return and dispute
Accept the return and get shipping label reimbursement
Allow the funds to go into deficit in my account
How is this in any way fair? They're claiming things didn't arrive, a lie. They're claiming the lenses are fake, how can lenses be faked?
I read that after 3 days I can ask eBay to solve the issue, but surely there's no way on God's green earth they rule in his favor, right?

Mentor3 years agoIf you have a 30 day return policy, that means you accept returns for any reason. Do not Ask ebay to step in. That will record an unresolved transaction on your account. Accept the return and pay fr the return shipping label. Once tracking shows DELIVERED back to you, you have 2 days to refund the seller. You can then report the buyer for misusing the Money Back Guarantee.
