buyer agrees to fulfill extra shipping costs then refuses
A mistake was made in charging the correct amount for shipping cost of four tower speakers in which the buyer agreed to cover the balance upon my request. A couple days later he refuses to cover the balance of the shipping estimate that I’m unable to fulfill myself. I’ve since informed him that they will ship in a reasonable amount of time when I’m able to cover the remaining amount in which he now is requesting a cancellation for a amount that i’m unable to recover.

·8 months agoYou can’t ever charge a buyer more for shipping than what was shown in the listing. Any time you don’t charge enough in the listing, it’s your responsibility to cover the difference, not the buyer’s.
And not shipping within your stated handling time is going to get you a defect from eBay for late shipment.
It would be in your best interest to cancel now since the buyer requested it, but you have to front the funds for the refund, then the buyer’s payment will be released to you.
