Buy it now minimum price

Question

I went to re-list books, but the Buy it now minimum increased to 40% above my auction price, rather than the usual 30%. Did I miss a notification of this change?

Are you using the Phone App?

What category are you listing in?

I sell a lot auction style but never use the BIN option nor the Reserve price. My starting bid price is the lowest I will sell an item for on one bid and make my target profit. More bids simply means more profit. Doing that eliminates the need for the optional BIN price.

Now, having said all of that I use a PC and it is STILL 30% BIN option over the starting Auction price. I just checked it from 50 cents up to $ 300 bucks.

@book_haven Policy still says 30% https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/selling-auctions?id=4110 Maybe eBay is testing 40%?
