buy bladed article

Question

I wanted to buy a jigsaw - 240v type, not puzzle. It was on 'buy it now'.

Upon pressing BIN I was sent to a page to enter my card details - I normally pay using PayPal - but was not given the choice.

I also had to confirm I was over 18 (normal policy).

BUT - my card was a Debit Card - a big NoNo apparently. Not accepted for age verification.

So I was prevented from buying the item.

Cue frustration from myself and seller (who lost a sale).

Knives/axes/swords - OK. But a jigsaw (tool) ????

You are located in the UK which has very strict rules for bladed items. Since you are asking this question on the eBay USA site we cannot help you with your question as each eBay site has different rules. You will need to log out of this site and log onto the eBay UK site to ask the question again. Keep in mind that if the seller is on the USA site they probably will not be able to ship to the UK even if you prove your age.
