It is only legitimate if the item is listed for sale ON Ebay and you (or your agent) can go inspect the vehicle.
If it is listed for sale on another website and the "seller" says that the transaction will go "through Ebay" and that they will ship to you for a 5 day inspection period and wants payment with gift cards, it is a SCAM.
