What is the process for buying a vehicle on eBay?

·2 years agoThe process for getting scammed buying a vehicle "on eBay": You find an ad on some other forum. You respond there and you get a message saying that eBay is "handling" the sale for some heart-tugging reason and will hold your funds and ship the vehicle to you for inspection and you pay by buying eBay gift cards and sending "eBay" the codes (or some other non-refundable hard-to-trace payment method). You never hear from the seller or "eBay" again unless it's to hit you up for some additional fee.

Mentor2 years agoType in the type of RV you are looking for in the SEARCH field.
When you find one you like, you can either place a bid if it is in auction style, or use the Buy It Now. Most sellers want a deposit. Read if the deposit is refundable or not. You then contact the seller to make arrangements to inspect the vehicle. If everything is satisfactory, you pay the seller in exchange for the keys and title. This can be done at his bank if you want a cashiers check, or cash. If not satisfactory, either party can walk away.
