Brushing Scam ?
I received a product I ordered, today. The purchase history shows that it has not shipped yet, and has no tracking. It arrived via Amazon Prime... sent to my address... but with no identifying markings as to its content, the shipper, or the origin of the shipment. The package was NOT addressed to me, the buyer, but was addressed to another unknown person... who does not exist at my address. Wasted a lot of my time (and others) searching for that person in my area. We opened the package per Amazon's direction... to discover it was my E-Bay purchase... although it did not contain any E-Bay documentation inside the package.
Perhaps the scam is... the person it was shipped to being a cutout having Amazon Prime privileges ?
Or, a brushing scam... that will have the named person reporting customer experience on Amazon ?
E-Bay has no obvious option to enable reporting this... as every link is designed to shunt you AWAY from actually making contact with Customer Service. Perhaps its just a seller that hasn't figured out how to do it right... but, there is definitely something "not right" about this experience...
Ideas ? Opinions ?
