Broken item received. Transaction vanished.

Hello, Seller sent me an item which was broken. I contacted seller who seemed agreeable to replace. Now, the item has disappeared from my purchase history as has the seller. No fecord on my eBay account. What steps can I take next. Thanks in advance.

Has it been more than 60 days since the transaction took place? When you go to your Purchase history, the default is to show items purchased within 60 days, but you can change that to 2024. ebay has a 30 days Money Back Guarantee, but some sellers will accept a return within 60 days.

Is it possible that you made the purchase as a guest?

Purchases made as a guest are separate from purchases made as a registered member. You will need to sign in with the email address you used as a guest along with the PASSCODE that ebay sent to you in an email. Then you can file a Returns Request.
