Brand new unopened bottle of cologne listing taken down by AI for unknown reason. Help!
Summary: g00dies4saleonline is frustrated after their eBay listing for a vintage, sealed cologne was removed, citing eBay's cosmetics policy. They received a response saying it didn't follow guidelines as the item was not in its original package, which g00dies4saleonline disputes since the cologne is sealed and unused. eastlaneave suggests selling the item on another platform if eBay continues to remove the listing, noting that automated systems may repeatedly flag it. g00dies4saleonline shares the listing title to seek further understanding or suggestions.
Not sure if you can see the listing or not since it's been taken down: https://www.ebay.com/itm/158225350211
It's a vintage 1981 .25oz 7.5ml bottle of Halston Limited Cologne Splash for Men. It's brand new, sealed, full bottle, which is obvious in the photos. When it was originally taken down, I appealed the decision and this was the response I got:
We reviewed your appeal of an action on your account. Upon further review, we’re unable to grant your appeal because the listings aren’t following our Cosmetics and perfume policy. Please understand that you listed "perfume" which is not in actual package. Please know that Government regulations require cosmetics to be sold in their original container. Also we don't allow any listing for a used cosmetic item. If a cosmetic item ever has came in contact with any human skin or body, then, it would be considered as a used cosmetic.
This reply makes zero sense. First off, it's a cologne. Not a perfume or makeup. Second, it's a full unused sealed bottle. What does "not in actual package" mean, exactly. There are hundreds of thousands of new, without box cologne and perfume listings and sales out there. Please help me make sense of it. Thanks in advance.

Hi
Thank you for sharing the photos and item specifics on your listing because we couldn't see it otherwise.
I do not see anything that would cause eBay to think this is an open bottle of cologne.
What was the title that you used?
Unfortunately, I am going to suggest you sell this item on another platform. Once your listing is pulled, the bots keep checking your account and will remove it a second time.
We all have had a few listings that were pulled down incorrectly, but it's best to not relist it.

I still don't see anything that seems off.
It could have something to do with the word Cap in the title.
eBay seems to focus on words like sealed when looking for new items.
I am sorry that my advice is to not sell this eBay.
