box was open upon reciept
Ok , my box was open on reciept when the rural letter carrier delievered it, he also stated it was open when they recieved it at the Post office, this was also noted. Upon inspection, the two milwaukee M18 12 amp batteries and charger were missing. I notified the PO of this, I have asked the seller for the insurance info several time, they don;t respond, this is over $500. worth of items. What do it do next?

Mentor3 years agoGo to My ebay > Purchase History and select RETURN THIS ITEM. You have up to 30 days from receipt of the item. For the reason, select Not as Described. You will need to click on More actions. The seller will have 3 days to reply. If no reply, then click the link to Ask ebay to step in. If the seller accepts the return, he is responsible for supplying a prepaid shipping label. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and make sure the carrier scans the label. The seller will probably NOT want to pay return shipping to get back an empty box so most likely will refund without requiring the box back. If no refund, go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
It is up to the seller to file the insurance claim with USPS. Take photos of the box, packaging, label and the notice from the USPS regarding the opened box. The seller will need those photos to file the insurance claim.
