Bought as a guest, package returned to seller
I bought a first edition book for my partner on October 20th 2025. I live in Canada and at the time we were in the midst of a postal strike, therefore the package went to the nearest pick up spot and I was not in my home city when this occured, so it was sent back to seller. I have contacted the seller 10 times without any response on the manner. I unfortunatley bought it as a guest, I did not realize I was not signed into my account, and therefore I am having the utmost difficulty getting this item or at the very least my reimbursment of $400. Months have gone by with no corrective action. I talked to an Ebay worker, and they said that I should be able to request it sent back by the seller as it is not my fault Canada Post goes on strike every other month, with no help from seller, what do I do from here?

To start a return request or report a problem with an item you bought as a guest, you'll need your order confirmation email. This is the email eBay sent at the time of your purchase with all your order details. The subject line starts with "Order Confirmed".
If you don't have that email, you can request another copy of the order confirmation email on this page:
LOG OUT OF YOUR eBay Account first, then
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-items-not-received-refunds-buyers/returning-item/returning-items-bought-guest?id=4065
Once you have the email, you can follow the process on the above page to talk to the seller.
Still, the seller may not refund you as you didn't pick up the item.
Contact the seller, and hope he/she helps you.
