bought a shop manual on ebay and paid thru paypal and now item purchase does not show up on ebay

purchased something on ebay thru ebay commerce inc. and was a paper service manual for outboard motor. I paid thru link on ebay for paypal since I had some balance left on that account. I get a receipt on paypal with a transaction number and order number that has ebay number on it. That was on May 12, 2026. Now I go to check my account for tracking of purchase and nothing. Does not show up on search of item number and purchase number on ebay search engine. I try to use ai automated and it bounce...

Is it possible you made the purchase as a Guest?

Purchases made as a guest are separate from purchases made as a registered member. You will need to sign in with the email address you used as a guest along with the PASSCODE that ebay sent to you in an email. Then you can file a Returns Request, or an Item Not Received case.

@mntvparts If you made the purchase as a guest ( not logged in to your eBay account) it will not be in your purchase history.

LOG OUT of your regular account and follow these steps to access the Guest purchase information.

To start a return request or report a problem with an item you bought as a guest, you'll need your order confirmation email. This is the email eBay sent at the time of your purchase with all your order details. The subject line starts with "Order Confirmed".

If you don't have that email, you can request another copy of the order confirmation email on this page ( Do NOT log in to your regular eBay account) :

Once you have the email, you can follow the process on the above page to talk to the seller.

You can also open a return request (to get a return label) OR report that the item has not arrived when it's at least one day past the last estimated delivery date.

1) Select View order details in your order confirmation email.

2) Select Return item OR report that the item has not arrived

3) Select your reason for the return if returning an item and select Next.

4) You can add a message to the seller and also upload up to 10 photos showing the item's condition if you are returning an item

It sounds like you may have made the purchase either on another eBay account or as a guest. If you purchased as a guest then you need to find the confirmation email from eBay for that item. The email will have special log in instructions so you will be able to see the item and open and case or request you want to.
