bought a laptop and cancelled it 2 hours later .
eBay said to contact seller so I emailed asking to prove if it had a Backlit keyboard which now I know it doesn't. Now eBay says he has 4 days to respond which by then he could ship it and then I would have a bunch of grief. Is there anybody else had this problem?

You needed to ask about the backlit keyboard before you purchased the laptop. Once you have made the purchase you are committed to proceeding with the transaction.
Sellers are not required to agree to cancellation requests.

sellers aren't obligated to honor cancellation requests, some do not for the same reason u give as a buyer, a bunch of grief
if i get a cancellation request, i immediately honor it if it has not already shipped bc i don't want a bunch of grief LOL
if it gets shipped and u don't want it, open a return request
