bought a clutch in august 2025 the seller give 6 months warranty. clutch broke. seller not respond.
bought a clutch kit from [removed by moderator] on august 7th 2025.
car started to vibrate 2 weeks ago. pressure plate is broken.looks like defective material ????
e mailed seller about his advertised 6 months warranty. sent pics to him also. no reply from seller.
can ebay help in getting a warranty claim ???? or are these warranties just a gimmick????and not enforced.???

Mentor8 months agoSorry that this happened. Manufacturers warranty items not sellers unless they are an authorized dealer for the manufacturer. eBay can only help for 30 days from receipt of an item. You need to check with the manufacturer to see if they will provide any warranty coverage. If the seller was an authorized dealer they probably will help but may not if the seller was not one of their dealers.

OP8 months agohe is the manufacturer of the clutch kit. i guess warranties on ebay is a gimmick to entice buyers.

You also may want to contact your state attorney general as well as the state the seller is located.
In the future, know your rights about warranties and get something in writing. The seller is required to give you information about the warranty in the listing or provide a way to get a copy of the warranty. Ask these questions before purchasing the item.
