Bought a cell phone from an Ebay seller now phone won't work because it was reported stolen,
Bought a cell phone from Jvep LLC(thephonenest) back in March of 2025, worked great until the beginning of January 2026 until I could not make or receive calls. Contacted AT&T about the issue, they asked for my IMEI # and they told me my phone had been "blacklisted" because it had been reported stolen. I contacted the seller and seller said they would contact AT&T to have it "whitelisted' and would take between 1-14 days. Re-checked today and phone is still "blacklisted" according to AT&T and the seller has ceased communication with me and Ebay is a joke in terms of even getting ahold of someone to even intervene. I tried to make a police report but was told that because it was an issue with a business that I would have to sue in small claims court which would not be worth the hassle and headache. I just want the company to meet me half way but Ebay is no where to be found and I guess the seller that I bought the phone from knows this also. Anybody have any suggestions??? I did make a complaint with the BBB and am waiting on a response. Thanks!!

Mentor7 months agoThere is nothing Ebay can do since it is past the 30 day Money Back Guarantee.
Normally I would suggest disputing the charge through your credit card/bank, but it may be too late for that.
